Appliances Of solar panels.

Applications of Solar Cell Technology

Now after looking through the many properties of solar cells and how electricity is generated, where exactly is this technology applied? Is it only for the factories? No, it has begun to spread across the world as products, most come in the form of everyday products, some being very useful in certain areas such as hiking, whereby it is impossible to find an electrical source. While others are everyday products such as calculators, torchlights, garden lights and such. Below are some examples:

Yes, I know, this is a Hello Kitty Calculator, yet u can see the solar cells at the side. The solar cells are useful in many situations. Considering the long life of the calculator, the solar panels are able to further extend its usable lifespan. This is one of the uses it has for the calculator, as it is able to recharge itself, and when being used under sunlight, saves energy and cost of buying new calculators to replace old ones, making it much more viable

This is a solar torchlight, though its uses are the same as it is a regular torchlight, it is much more convenient and does not require a change of batteries unlike regular torchlights, when brought into camps, the torchlight powers it’s battery during the day, to be used at night, it is very useful for campers as they do not need to worry about bringing spare batteries to replace old ones in torchlights. The solar cells also increase the lifespan of the torchlight, and is fairly durable.

These are solar-powered garden lights, they are useful for providing plants with light at night, as well as provide an electric-free source of light during the night time. These Solar Garden Lights are efficient in providing light at night as when left during the day, it powers up by itself instead of requiring large amounts of electricity to remain lit during the night, conserving large amounts of electricity in the long run and saving a lot of trouble the owners face.

These solar powered caps are also a very useful tool for people who trek, hike or go for forest trails. Besides blocking out sunlight in the day, which is the purpose of caps, it also benefits by recharging its batteries, allowing for it to be used at night as well as provide the person with shade. At night, it can be turned on to make it brighter, allowing for the person to view the environment more clearly, and be used as an easy access light source.
